What concerts or other events have you attended?
I've been to a concert every night in my head. 😼

Which musical instruments have you played?
These three basses:
G&L: MJ-4 -- Modified to have an extra string on top. Tuned to Drop C.
Ibanez: BTB1406 -- Tuned to Standard / Drop Low E.
Ibanez: SRD905F -- Fretless tuned to Standard.

What musical industry news have you heard?
So much stuff has been on sale over the last week.

So much stuff has been on sale over the last week.
<a href="https://attak-pik.com"><Attak-Pik</a> just came out with a new model of triangular pik that has three different tips. I definitely have to order a pack, soon.
HiBy has come out with a new reasonably priced portable music player.
Sadly, I've mostly been skipping over the messages about this. lol :/

You might look up music-related holidays and see if they inspire posts.

I think these should be [Member Only]. Some of the discussion stuff should be as well. Most of the stuff related to the Community itself should be [Member Only].

Informative blog type stuff should be public.

Like, we should think about what the public, including people who don't use the site, and what search engines are able to scrape and what entries are specifically by/for/about a specific Community.

BTW, I just realized there's an easy way to show this. Maybe it's where you're pulling from. Maybe it's a good way to prompt members to take a look at posts.

Click the Calendar in the module on the left or the Archive link at the top, then hit View Subjects. It brings up the author as well as tags of the post.

Either way, having a nudge to discuss some things about the prior month is cool. It got me to look back at everything I listened to. 8)

I don't have the oomph to answer all of the questions, but I wanted to list instruments, because finding other people who want to talk specific instruments is always interesting. My first love is recorder -- I have five sizes (sopranino through bass), in four materials (mostly modern plastic, one bakelite, one clay, two wood) -- and I wish I had the time and energy to play them more. I played violin through high school, and have recently come back to it; I played viola as well but with less focus on the instrument itself and mostly just carrying learnings across. I've noodled at transverse flute, piano, Appalachian dulcimer, tin whistle.

I think we have one or two around here, my partner plays various instruments. I only played one in grade school.

I love both Appalachian and hammered dulcimers.
